For more than 30 years, AtWork has been a leading staffing franchise. We have been empowering entrepreneurs for decades with unparalleled training, strategy, and support. Our long and profitable history has led to more than 90 successful offices across the nation.

Why should I join the staffing industry?

The staffing industry has shown decades of stability and recent spikes in growth. Now is the perfect time to capitalize on the opportunities in this growing industry. With a franchisor who knows how to navigate common challenges and mitigate your expenses and risks, you can find immense success with a staffing franchise.

How much does starting an AtWork franchise cost?

While your individual franchise investment will vary, the estimated initial investment for a new AtWork franchise ranges from $153,500 to $210,500. This includes an upfront $40,000 franchising fee.

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes! We offer a 20% discount on the initial franchise fee for U.S. veterans.

Will I make my investment back?

An AtWork franchise pays for itself. For only 7% of gross revenues for royalties and .5% for marketing, our franchisees receive our full suite of ongoing support. Recoup your investment quickly thanks to our low entry costs, fantastic earning potential, and quick startup.

Do you cover payroll funding and processing?

Yes, our in-house team provides accounting support that includes both of these essential functions. These alone would be as much as 15.5% of gross revenues for an independent staffing agency, compared to the 7.5% (7% in royalties and .5% for marketing) our owners pay for an entire suite of support.

Do I need a brick-and-mortar office?

Yes, we require each franchisee to have a brick-and-mortar office location in their approved franchise territory. We consider the following factors when choosing an office location:

  • Demographic characteristics
  • Traffic patterns
  • Parking
  • Character of the neighborhood
  • Proximity of competition
  • Size, appearance, and other physical characteristics of the premises
How do your territories work?

We offer protected franchise territories in every state, from coast to coast. You will work with our executive team to determine a specific operating territory prior to signing the franchise agreement. This territory will be described by reference to specified ZIP codes.

Every protected territory has a population of approximately 200,000 individuals. The exact geographic area of each is decided on a market-by-market basis, and we divide major metropolitan markets into multiple territories. Once decided, your physical office will have to be within your assigned territory.

How long does it take to open?

It typically takes 90 days to open your franchise from the time the franchise agreement is signed. During this time, our team will assign your territory, provide thorough training to you and your staff, and advise on marketing strategies.

Do I need to have prior staffing experience?

Prior staffing experience helps to create a strong foundation for AtWork franchisees, but it is not required. Any outgoing, entrepreneurial-minded person with a sales, management, customer service, or communications background can succeed with AtWork.

Which industries would I be staffing for?

AtWork primarily specializes in light industrial and clerical staffing. Examples of positions in this industry include warehouse workers, forklift drivers, maintenance techs, and production roles. Our franchisees also recruit for professional and hospitality jobs like front office staff and customer service representatives.

How many employees will I have to hire?

Running an AtWork staffing franchise does not require many employees. Expect to run your own business operations or hire a dedicated branch manager. Our preferred model includes at least two additional employees — a sales professional and a recruiter — at the outset.

How will AtWork support the growth of my business?

Our full suite of services includes:

  • World-class training and development
  • Payroll funding and processing services
  • Packaged tech stack
  • Full IT department
  • Credit and risk department
  • Marketing support
  • Two dedicated field operations executives — one for sales and recruiting and one for operational support
  • So much more
